Worship is more than a song — it is the posture of a heart that recognizes who God is. In Scripture, worship is pictured as total surrender and deep reverence toward the Almighty.

One clear illustration is found in John 4:23–24, where Jesus says that true worshipers “must worship the Father in spirit and in truth.” This means worship flows from the heart, guided by the Holy Spirit, and anchored in the truth of God’s Word.

Another powerful picture is in Psalm 95:6, which invites us: “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” Here, worship is shown as humility, honor, and recognition of God as Creator.

In essence, worship is a lifestyle — a response to God’s greatness — expressed through our songs, our actions, and our obedience.
